Jon and Mary were the photographers for our wedding at the Oakwood at Ryther in North Yorkshire. The moments they captured and the pictures they sent to us were amazing.
They arrived and were so friendly and reassuring right from the off, Jon at the house where the Groom/groomsmen were getting ready and Mary at the venue where the Bride/bridesmaids. We therefore have fantastic photos of both groups getting ready. Jon was also key in ensuring that the men’s buttonholes were properly applied and they stayed in place all day. Since Mary and Jon are a duo we have photos of the ceremony from both looking up and down the aisle which makes for all angles of the couple and guests to be covered so we can really relive the moment when looking back at them. We were especially excited for the confetti photos as we had seen in their previous work and we were not disappointed.
We had further group shots, which despite there being an awful lot of family members to sort out, was done with minimal fuss. Couples shots were then beautifully shot, capturing the feeling and emotions we were going through perfectly. Finally we had amazing shots of the wedding breakfast, speeches and dance floor captured in the evening, with us and our guests fully enjoying the moment.
They were both not intrusive in the slightest and we didn’t even notice they were there for most of the time. Our sneak peaks gallery was sent to us within a couple of days, which meant we could upload the all important social media update using our professional pictures! We got to relive the whole day again with our families when looking through the full album which they delivered in just 6 weeks!
We can’t recommend them highly enough if you are looking for a pair of lovely, down to earth photographers who capture your special day as it happens.

Jon and Mary were our photographers for our wedding in October and what can we say, they were absolutely brilliant. Such lovely, wonderful, professional people. For a bride that hates having her photo taken they just put us at so much ease and made it feel so comfortable, they were just brilliant getting all the photos we wanted and so unintrusive that half the time you didn't know they were there. They not only took amazing photos, but went the extra mile for us on our wedding day, including helping with the wedding dress and sorting out the groomsmen’s pinholes! Choosing a photographer for a wedding is a really big decision to make. However, in my case the whole process from deciding who the company would be, to the big day itself and through to receiving the captured images was so easy and hassle-free!!
Stories of I Do are the perfect Company. Friendly, welcoming and talented; really attentive yet not over-bearing.
Jon and Mary make the time to get to know the bride and groom (and in my case family). They offered an engagement shoot to allow us to meet in advance of the wedding day and to help us feel comfortable in front of the camera. There was really no need to feel uncomfortable at all, in fact we didn't even know we were being photographed!
We had requested very low key shots that capture moments rather than the traditional posed shots and we we given exactly what we asked for.
I could not recommend Stories of I do any more highly. Jon and Mary captured beautifully our special day and have given us memories to treasure for always.

Stories of I Do was professional in the contact before the wedding (and all the way through!), great to work with during the wedding and quickly turned around the photos after the wedding. We couldn't have wished for better. We're a naturally shy couple and not hoggers of the limelight, and wanted photographers we were really comfortable with.
Jon and Mary were kind enough to meet us for a coffee before we booked to make sure they were a good fit, and they really were. Their rates are incredibly reasonable, especially when you factor in that you're getting two photographers.
Our photos are simply stunning, and they really enhanced our day by making our photo shoot a really enjoyable, relaxed and fun part of our day. They are genuinely lovely and warm people -

Jon & Mary recently photographed my wedding! From the moment they arrived i was at ease, nothing was too much. Mary and Jon were on hand for everything, including some guidance on laceing up the gowns! The photography.. Wow!! their work is amazing. I've received my pictures today I'm blown away. Like many others, our original wedding plans had to change due to Covid-19.
Jon and Mary could not have been more accommodating depsite the extra stress is must have caused them for us to change our plans twice!
Working with them both on our wedding day was a real highlight. We ended up eloping to the Lake District without any family or friends, but our experience with Stories of I Do meant that the day didn't feel any less special.
Not only are the pictures great, but they were both a pleasure to spend time with and captured some wonderful shots of myself and my new husband - which is a real challenge because I am a very expressive person who can really end up looking awkward on camera.
Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding day.

We had to cancel our original wedding date due to Covid-19 and rearranged.Jon & Mary were so understanding and had no problem changing dates.
The rules all changed again and we rescheduled the wedding with 3 days notice and amazingly Jon & Mary were still able to photograph our wedding.
Jon & Mary were so lovely and made everyone feel so comfortable. We felt so at ease and hardly noticed our photos been taken.
Our photos were back so quickly and they are absolutely perfect.

Jon and Mary took some amazing photos of my wife and I. Our wedding was at Leeds Civic Hall and they had a package tailored to a small wedding, which was just what we were after. Everything was dealt with online, was timely and with great communication, and the pictures themselves were great, with some some shots that were just perfect. Very happy with their work.
All round amazing service from Jon and Mary, right from the start they were quick to respond to emails and happy to answer any questions, throughout the day they were friendly and professional, so many guests commented on how at ease they made people feel, how they were always around but not intrusive. The pictures and video we received are gorgeous, so happy, would 100% recommend!!

Stories of I do were a pleasure to work with from start to finish.
They were incredibly prompt replying to my booking enquiries - and very reasurring about what the process would look like considering photography at weddings has more restrictions due to COVID.
On the day itself, they were brilliant fun and put us and our two witnesses at ease throughout the ceremony. We were all nervous about the photo session after as non of us had ever posed for professional photos before - but Jon and Mary made it such a relaxed and fun process that we barely noticed they were taking pictures.
They stuck to COVID regulations the whole time, which was brilliant, whilst suggesting fun poses and locations for our photos.
They sent an initial sneak peak only.a couple of hours after they'd finished photographing us - which was great - and we've just got the rest of the photos a month later and they are PERFECT.
So many thanks to Stories of I do and I recommend these to anyone, especially those looking for photography of a small town hall wedding like us.
