York Marriott Engagement Shoot
This evening we had the pleasure of photographing Louise and Josh’s pre-wedding photoshoot. We had so much fun with them in York for their engagement shoot. The couple had chosen the York Marriott Hotel which was an excellent location choice. They have planned a Disney themed wedding in their hometown of York, North Yorkshire. Louise and Josh will have their wedding reception there at the beginning of November. It gave us a perfect chance to find all the beautiful spots in the hotel grounds and get to know the shy pair better!
Autumn Tone Engagement Shoot
It was a wet day in York, so we had to take the opportunity of the dry spell. Autumn tones were coming through in the gardens for that authentic English feeling! Although the weather looks beautiful in their York photographs, it was very deceiving. The light was fading, and it was pretty cold. We had a great time exploring the woods, paths and gardens of the York Marriott Hotel.

York Marriott Gardens
The York Marriott Hotel has such a variety of locations to choose! As York Wedding Photographers there is such a range of options. Both for photographing an engagement shoot or a wedding. On their wedding day, we know where there are quiet areas. It was so much fun finding secluded areas to avoid intrusion. Not only that but the different areas of the gardens help in generating a broad portfolio. Wandering a short distance to other parts of the garden give a completely different look.
Dusk Enagment Shoot
As you will see from the images, the evening dusk suited more black and white photographs. Black and white photography is somewhat timeless in its style. The golden leaves and woods do look extraordinary with their autumnal tones though!

Josh and Louise were great to work with and photograph. While they starting out nervously, they soon relaxed in front of the camera. We know that they have benefited from the session, there will be no nerves in front of us on their wedding day. The York engagement session helped them feel at ease. We will be able to capture their natural moments on their wedding day. Their wedding date is only a few weeks away. We are so looking forward to photographing their Disney York wedding. Louise and Josh are going to look stunning on their big day, roll-on November!
