Saint Edward the Confessor York
Louise and Josh married in one of the most incredible chapels we have ever photographed. The Parish Church of Saint Edward the Confessor Dringhouses in York is magnificent. The wedding bells rang, and the sun shone through the beautiful stain glass window. The whole place is just full of history and inspiration everywhere you look. When we first met the couple, Louise said she has always dreamed of getting married in this church, and we can see why!
Wedding Confetti
Their wedding was full of music, love and laughter from start to finish. They had an emotional ceremony in the church, followed by confetti outside. Even although it was November, they were lucky enough to have a bright sunny and bright day. Perfect for us to get some incredible, autumn wedding shots in York.
Disney Themed Wedding and Reception
After the ceremony, we arrived at their Disney themed reception. This was at the York Marriott Hotel. As it was November, the daylight was fading, and the weather was beginning to turn cold. We got straight outside for a few portrait shots as well as the group photographs. The newlyweds walked around the York Marriott Hotel grounds as we photographed them. We couldn't believe how the gardens looked. A private autumn Secret Garden for their couples images! The lighting in the garden was fantastic. The vibrant colours of the fallen leaves gave their pictures a beautiful autumn feel.
Bonfire Night Wedding
As it was Bonfire night, Louise and Josh couldn’t go through the whole day without a few sparklers. As evening fell, we went back outside in the dark to play with some sparklers. When all the sparklers went out, we all headed back to the dance floor. Stories of I Do left Louise and Josh dancing the night away surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
