A Picture-Perfect Day for a Priest House Wedding
If you're dreaming of a wedding with historic charm, countryside views, and a relaxed, romantic atmosphere, Kelly and Philip’s day at the Priests House wedding venue in Skipton is the perfect inspiration. Their morning began in two beautiful locations. Kelly got ready at the nearby Coach House, surrounded by her closest friends and family. The room was filled with joyful energy as her bridesmaids helped with the finishing touches to her dress and hair. These natural, emotional moments are always some of our favourites to capture.
Philip was preparing nearby at an Airbnb in Skipton, joined by his groomsmen and parents. The morning was calm but filled with anticipation and quiet excitement. The connection between him and his family created some truly moving images before he made his way to the ceremony.
The Priests House Wedding Ceremony
Set within the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the Priests House wedding venue offers a breathtaking setting for couples who want a timeless, characterful space to say “I do.” Kelly and Philip’s ceremony was intimate and emotional, filled with beaming smiles, laughter, and heartfelt vows in front of their nearest and dearest. One of the most thoughtful details came when Kelly surprised Philip with bespoke cufflinks, handcrafted by Yorkshire jeweller Stephen Roper. He also designed their unique wedding rings, adding a deeply personal and meaningful touch to their celebration.
Portraits in the Yorkshire Dales
As the newlyweds stepped outside into the crisp Yorkshire air, the stunning grounds around the Priests House wedding venue provided the perfect backdrop for relaxed couple portraits. With the sunlight casting a soft golden glow across the stone walls and rolling fields, we took a quiet moment away from the buzz of the reception to capture Kelly and Philip together—just the two of them, soaking in that just-married feeling. These peaceful portraits always become firm favourites, offering a chance to breathe and reflect in the midst of the celebrations.
A Warm and Joyful Reception at The Priests House Wedding
Back inside The Priest House wedding venue. Guests shared stories, toasted the couple, and enjoyed an evening of heartfelt speeches and joyful connection. The beauty of a Priests House wedding is in its intimacy—everyone feels close, both physically and emotionally, which makes every cheer and every laugh that much more powerful. It’s in moments like these that our approach truly shines—working quietly in the background, we catch the fleeting glances, the squeeze of a hand, and the spontaneous laughter that make your day uniquely yours.
Capturing Every Moment – Naturally
As a husband-and-wife photography team, we are Stories of I Do – and we believe that the best moments are the ones that happen naturally. Our documentary-style approach means we don’t pose or stage; instead, we focus on genuine emotion and real connection. From the nervous energy of the morning to the cheers during speeches, we’re there to quietly document the story of your day as it unfolds. One of the reasons couples love working with us is that we always shoot together. That means we can be in two places at once – capturing the bride’s entrance and the groom’s reaction, for example – without missing anything. It’s a seamless way to ensure no moment goes unnoticed.
